The First Ever 188 Mile Skateboard Stage Race Is Poppin’ Off This Weekend.
We posted a preliminary news snippet of this event a while back—we were trippin’ on how crazy you’d have to be to do something like this. I mean come on—188 miles!?! Anyway, it’s all going down starting this weekend. Hats-off to all the skateboarders up for this epic challenge. We salute you!
We also want to note that this event is raising awareness, and funds, to help provide clean water for people in need. Double-rad!

A highly technical 1-mile race track drops 3100 feet as riders grip and drift through EIGHT (8) full 180 degree hairpins. The Olympic luge track is the fastest luge track ever built and the access road is no different. Saturday the 25th will be Freeride with Racing on Sunday the 26th.
At the base of Blackcomb Mountain, this Olympic Venue is the perfect location to push the limits of downhill skateboard racing. It is the most anticipated race track in North America and is set to become the premier racing location rivaling the best in the world. Only a road this unique would be carved and blasted into the mountain for Olympic gravity sports like Ice Luge, Skeletons and Bobsled. The Olympic Games are OVER, NOW IT’S OUR TURN ! A large CASH PODIUM will be up for grabs to top Open, Women’s, Junior and Masters classes.

Spain: Buditch Masterwave Ditch Event, May 21, 2024
Our friends from Spain just sent in this event they are having on May 22 in Madridejos, Spain. Looks to be a pretty sweet ditch/spillway event that is to include some banked slalom and an open expression session as well. I’m uni-lingual so I can’t understand most of what is on their event page (I’m very lame), but I do speak Food, so I believe that by “comida” they mean there will be some serious chow-down involved—that’s my kind of event.
Anyway, it’s all going down in Madridejos, Spain in May, so if you’re in the area go check this event out for sure. Good vibes, good skating, and muy comida. Hell yeah!
