“The Laguna Seca Invitational” Here We Come.
The NHS/Road Rider dudes hit us up and invited us to come check out their Laguna Seca Invitational race that’s happening this Thursday, April 19 in beautiful Monterey, California. We love downhill skateboarding and we love road trips, so it was a no-brainer. Plus, not only are many of our friends completing in this race, but the Caliber crew just built a new mini ramp in their Santa Cruz warehouse. Win, win, and win. Anyway, we are leaving in a few hours. Justin Preston and our editor, Marcus Bandy, are packing up the Wheelbase Mobile with cameras, skateboards, surfboards, and beer (keep your eyes peeled for Instagram shenanigans throughout the trip at instagram@wheelbase). The 2012 Downhill Disco: A Gnar-Gnar Preview

This weekend’s 2012 Downhill Disco was off-the-chisel, -chain, and -charts! Crazy obstacles, hella skaters, and gnarly shredding. We’re currently working on putting together a sweet full-length article of the event, as we speak. Check back regularly as the article will be dropping real soon.

Roster Hoppin’: Patrick Switzer Now Rides For Rayne.

Glorious springtime is upon us, the fragrant flowers are bursting with blooms, the grasses are greener than ever, the rabbits can be seen hopping from paddock to shaddy tree stump, and the downhill racers are shedding their old sponsors. Oh, what a lively time of year indeed!
Anyway, Patrick Switzer has left his longtime board sponsor of Fullbag (the dudes with the scrotum logo) to team up with Rayne Longboards. P-Swiss has also recently partnered with Triple Eight safety gear as well as The Coca Cola Company‘s bubbling and highly-caffeinated sugar-beverage, NOS Energy Drink.
