Video: Blood Orange “Jesse Breiman”

| May 14, 2012 | Comments (0)

We are on the road right now with Jesse Breiman and the rest of the Way Out Westward crew—shredding spots, acting way out, and generally living the dream.  That said, we have not had a free moment to post Jesse’s new video from Blood Orange Bushings, until this morning. This is Blood Orange‘s first video, and from what we know about this crew, we expect some really rad product and skate-related radness to follow. This video is doubly dope because it also pays a little tribute to OG San Francisco/bay area artist, Jeremy Fish. Note the Silly Pink Bunnies. Peep it!

“Sorry for denting the hood of homie’s car. Ha ha! Stay tuned for a grip of new shit coming from the Blood Orange crew.” (Jesse Brieman)

We’ve had the pleasure of shredding with this lady on a number of occasions. Alicia Fillback is a real cool person and one of the raddest freeride skateboarders on the planet. Style, grace, and gnar!

Liam Morgan: Down, But Not Out

| April 16, 2012 | Comments (5)
Around 2pm Friday, April 13th Liam Morgan was riding his motorcycle down a four lane street in his hometown of Alameda, CA. While approaching an intersection he merged into the right lane to avoid a truck signaling to make a left hand turn. At the same time, another vehicle traveling the opposite direction entered the intersection to make a left hand turn across traffic. Proceeding to make the turn, the oncoming vehicle (whom’s vision was obstructed by the turning truck) entered the intersection and collided with Liam causing him to loose control of his bike. Liam was immediately ejected off his bike where he slid on the asphalt until he was stopped by a light post, breaking his left femur. Immediately, witnesses and the other driver ran to Liam’s aid and assisted him until the ambulance arrived. Liam was transported to a nearby hospital where he underwent a successful surgery to reset his leg with several pins.

Video: Comet Skateboards – Metaphysical

| April 16, 2012 | Comments (0)

Wheelbase contributor & Comet Skateboards Team Manager, Blake Smith, just released  a new video featuring east bay ripper Byron Essert. The video went live sometime in the middle of the night and the lengthy switch stance action is already causing a social media reposting blitz.

We personally like the black and white treatment of the video, as well as the OG trip hop track with the thick accented Japanese chick rambling on about god know’s what? Anyway, sick edit—fresh style—enjoy.
