Welcome back to another Weekly Wrap-up that showcases completely G rated scooterboarding so even the diaper dandies out there can enjoy every last drop of goodness. Skating brings us all together and unites those of us who push with a common bond that can almost be described as a family structure. We all go through the infancy stage in our #SkateLife just as we all experience the pains associated with growth and progression forward. As our tenure with skating advances it becomes very apparent the numerous benefits offered by being an active member of our community spanning all spectrums of life. The summary of events from this past week within skateboarding hopefully will stoke you out and encourage you to pursue a proactive role in your own skate journey. Lets get to it!
Starting things off, all of us here at Wheelbase would like to send a big congrats on 30 years to the homies at Slam City Skates in the UK. In honor of this Slam City teamed up with Spitfire to toss out this short but oh so sweet edit of Danny Brady and Nick Jensen keeping it LIT in London.
Are you tired of paying for new wheels only to take them out on a skate date and have them literally disappear before your eyes in the form of buttery thane lines??? Now thanks to the friendly folks up north at Kebbek Skateboards, all attendees of the KNK Longboard Camp will have the opportunity to ride an unlimited supply of wheels for only 30€!! The “Core a Set, Get a Set” initiative will allow all participants the chance to charge all week with no fear of running low on ‘thane, simply core the current set you are riding and another will appear as if it were magic!! Check out more info from Big Mountain Skate to see how you could hop on this opportunity!
Don’t sleep on Kia for your next automobile consideration especially after they teamed up with James “The American Dream” Kelly to throw down one of the most radical car commercials of all time. When the majority of an advertisement is skate related like this one, its 100% alright in our book.
Dropping it like it was hot, Prism Skate Co. just announced their star studded staff that comprises their pro team. The list includes names such as Liam Morgan, Jasper Olson, and a few others who are on top of the skattleboard game right now. Be on the look out for mega media to be dropping soon from these key players.

Its no secret that The Alps host some world class roads that could, and sometimes do, double as perfectly constructed downhill skateboarding race tracks. The Kozakov Challenge 2016 will be going down on one such road located in Kozakov, Czech Republic which has historically been one of the raddest races on the IDF circuit. As the IDF circuit begins starts to come to a head every race becomes more and more important to all the World Title hopefuls which is only fuel to the fire for rad racing. If you are a last minute planner this is your golden moment to charge Europe and hit up a race that will certainly be worth its weight in gold by show casing world class skateboarding at a world class location. Peep all the details on the IDF event page here.

Coming up next week, Bustin Boards will be rallying a few members of their squad and will be having them descend upon the European continent with community building as their main objective. The Bustin Summer Shop Tour is a twelve day tour that will take the Bustin Crew through five countries where they will shred with countless homies and homettes. Showcasing the pure, unadulterated fun found only by stepping on a board is the groups goal and this will be accomplished by various demos/meet and greets set up by many local shops and distributors. There are no strangers within skateboarding which transcends all race, class, and language barriers so if you live in any of the affected countries, make sure you squad up with the Bustin Crew as they mob anything and everything they can find!

We are stoked to have gotten the invite to attend the 2016 Donner Pass Downhill presented by Red Bull. How we got this invite isn’t important, but what is important is the steller skating that is sure to go down and we couldn’t be more amped to have the chance to witness it first hand.
