We’ve all been seeing more and more companies jumpin’ on the “skate everything” bandwagon. Guess what? Earthwing has been skateboarding everything since the beginning. No fakin’—just straight-up skateboarding for, and by, skateboarders. Many may not know this, but Earthwing Skateboards has influenced a lot of what’s going on right now. That said, when Earthwing’s Steve Kong hit us up to tell us they were throwing a slide jam the day after The Broadway Bomb, there was no doubt that we’d be there to show our support. So on Sunday October 9th, 2011 we were in attendance, and what a jammy-jammer of a good time we had. Read More

Yo, to the what-what! So here’s a rad little video sent to us by Canadian rippa, Adam Winston, of Moon Pucks. The vid features a crew of Canadian riders skating some skinny little winders through an undisclosed golf course. We’re pretty sure that many a skater will be drooling on themselves after seeing these paved paths getting shredded—and the OG Public Enemy track really “ties the room together”. Get some, and enjoy the getting. Power to the people!

Video: Skatesgiving Eastcoast Tour Preview

| November 25, 2024 | Comments (0)

A grip of our friends from back East decided to spend this Thanksgiving holiday shredding through the Appalachian Mountains and ripping whatever other steep roads they could find along the way through the south and beyond. The tour is called Skatesgiving Tour and features a diverse cast of Eastcoasters, Southerners, and Northsider Riders. Comet Skateboards provided Anthony Flis and the murdered-out Comet van; SkateHouseMedia threw-in some rippers and media personnel, and we’re pretty sure other interested parties and individuals have attached themselves to this radical event as well—time will tell.

Anyway, here’s a radnasty sneak-peek video from Sean Graves featuring teaser clips of the epic footage that is bound to come from this trail blazing Skatesgiving Tour. Keep your eyes fixed to SkateHouseMedia for full video coverage of this Skatesgiving Tour. Happy Holidays!

There’s a dirty little secret out there that some people don’t want you to know about. The secret is that as long as you are having fun, it does not matter the length, width, height, or or shape of the board you are riding–it’s all skateboarding. We’re not saying that style and technique are not important; they are very, very important. What we’re saying is rad skateboarding can, and will, happen in an endless number of combinations.

Tristan Morvan knows all this stuff already, and is shown here having fun on a board he enjoys having fun on. Enough said.

Watch this video, get inspired, and then go out and ride. . .

Yeehaw!: The Sacred Totem of Shred

Just a few of the boards kickin' it in the Wheelbase Shred Cave. Photo: Sexy Steve.

A nicely used board sits on the ground catawampus, slivers of wood poke and jot out on the edges; the graphic is covered with stickers, grime, and a large area has been scrapped off from boardsliders and bails. The griptape has dried mud spots all over it. You go to pick up this skateboard and get a whiff of somethin’ horrendous. It stinks from that one time you ran over an opossum which subsequently sent that furry vermin into the hereafter; or maybe the pungency is due to that time you carelessly left it outside in the rain for three days. Who know why it’s so darn smelly? But it’s your board, the roads are dry, and it’s time to ride. Read More
