Kody Noble is a serious shredder and a good friend of us here at Wheelbase; he’s a perfect example of the somewhat subversive Fact that Longboarding is skateboarding. Be weary of those ill-advised goons falsifying that longboarding is not skateboarding— ’cause it most definitely is Skateboarding. Most of you have already seen a grip of images and videos of this year’s Spring Marhill Freeride on either facebook, youtube, or vimeo; but what you haven’t seen yet are the pics from inside the helicopter cockpit. Thanks to Deano, the event organizer; and Louis Pilloni of Sector 9 & SkateHouseMedia, I was blessed with the opportunity to shoot photos of Maryhill from inside a 1950s helicopter. Rayne Welcomes Team Rider Marisa Nunez
Good day Skateboarders!
The 2011 season is well underway with some highlight events already taking place and the start of the IGSA South America and Danger Bay 10 only a few short weeks away. This season, Rayne Longboards is proud to welcome Marisa Nunez to the team!
Marisa has been progressing her shredding for the past few seasons and is looking to take her skating to the next level this year. Originally from Lima, Peru, and now living in Miami Florida, Marisa is a big part of the Florida State Race League and travels around the globe to spread the stoke with her Miami Crew and represent her sponsors: Rayne, Daddies, Skate Slate, Randal, Abec 11, Skatera, and Moon Pucks. Marisa’s looking to be a vocal supporter of ladies longboarding and specifically wants to make inroads in Latin America to help more girls find their place in the sport. Stoked to shred anytime anyplace, watch for Marisa at anything from garage races to IGSA World Cup events while she tries to take her place on the podium as the Top Female this year.

It’s one in the freaking morning but I’m still hella juiced from today’s radicalities. Deano, the MHFR event organizer, presented Louie Pilloni and myself with the opportunity of taking a two-hour helicopter ride over Maryhill this afternoon to shoot video and photos of the freeride. I’m still taking pause and trippin’ on how critical of an experience that just was. Hell yeah! Thanks so much Deano! I’m so amped I want to cuss up a shit-storm right now. Damn son!
