Fast & Dangerous with Eric Jensen - Comet Skateboards

June 10, 20244 Comments

Eric Jensen is known for skating a kicktailed deck real good. As it turns out, he can also do the deed on a sans-kick downhill skateboard. This new edit dropped by Comet Skateboards shows Jensen doing just that on some twisty-turny roads somewhere in California. We were fortunate enough to get a sneak-peek at this edit and we got some words from Jensen along the way:

How did you like skating the roads in the video?
Butter cream titties vanilla milk shake.

Why no kicktail? Are you ditching the Farmer?
The concave on the Voodoo Air is much more mellow which I am a big fan of. Nothing to tell yea where your feet are “supposed” to be. How can you not like the shape of this thing? It’s simple and beautiful looking and it’s got all ya need for a wrigglin’ good time. The new AirFrame technology that Comet and Paul Schmitt have been using is absolutely genius and it makes the board that much lighter with out having any torsional flex. And, finally, Kaya over at Comet Skateboards has crafted up a beautiful graphic for this years Voodoo Air and is possibly one of my favorite graphics and boards Comet has to offer. So grab one and hop on the magic carpet ride.

Any other favorites in the Comet line that aren’t the Farmer?
There are tons of other boards in the Comet line that I love to ride—all of ‘em to be honest. But, to be specific, I have been riding the Shred 35, Kick, and TMKF and they are great boards for shredding everything in your path. The new Comet Ethos shapes are also coming together very nicely, keep your eyes peeled for the new Ethos line dropping soon!

also, im 6 feet 4 inches tall. ya’ll think i would fit ok on the airframe voodoo? or is it likely i would be cramped up?

Mason, it’s a 36″ board and stays wide from the front truck through the back truck so it’s all a matter of how wide your stance is. I know some taller dudes like a longboard deck but I’ve also seen really tall dudes owning small boards too. I would try and find one to stand on or something of a similar size and go from there.
