The Dervish Sama is constructed of bamboo sandwiched between two layers of triaxle fiberglass. It features CNC cutouts for drop-through mounting, camber, concave, and symmetrical kicks on both ends. The board measures 42.8” in length, 9” wide, with a 31.5” wheelbase.
The Dervish Sama is a performance flex board and is available in three levels of flex. For our testing of the Sama we used the flex 2 version and jammed around on some super fun local alleys and neighborhood hills.
The concave-camber combination of the Sama is an improvement over the previous Dervish model. It’s lightweight and ample flex provide for a very responsive ride. We also enjoyed the clean graphics and unique grip job.
We feel that the kicks could be lengthened to further increase their functionality. We also noticed that hooking back up after sliding can prove tricky on a drop-through with this much flex.
Loaded Board’s Dervish Sama is a light, responsive, and fun update of its predecessor. The aggressive concave/camber combination makes the deck more agile with a broader functionality. If you are looking for a beautifully styled, performance flex board with a truly unique feel, the new Dervish Sama is an excellent choice.
