Sneak Peek: The Wheelbase/Comet Graphic Challenge Board Is Almost Ready.

January 24, 201216 Comments

Kaya, of Comet Skateboards just sent us these rad images of the almost-finished, new Wheelbase/Comet Challenge board. Hooty, hoo! We are so freakin’ stoked right now!

The board’s shape was designed by Byron Essert and various others of the Comet squad, and the tripodelic “diamond eyes” graphics was chosen directly by the skate community via facebook and was created by Argentinian artist, Antonella Eva Morelli. These exclusive new decks are set to be completed and shipped to select dealers (Rip City Skate, Muir Skates, Switchbacks, Comet, and Wheelbase) soon, soon, soon. Stay tuned for the official release date of this community collaboration of 100 hand-numbered, limited-edition downhill skateboards. A super-huge shout-out goes to the supporting sponsors: Caliber Trucks & Divine Wheels. Dopeness!

Would this board be good for me? I’m 5 feet tall and like 90 somethin pounds and I like to do fast freeride and some DH but mostly just freeride.

Oh yeas it is. This board is designed for the rider that’s ready for speed, kick out some tasty sliders and do it all with style. This is a stiff board so it will be good for any rider up to 230lbs. You are golden! Hurry ’cause supplies will not last.
