Video: Paris Truck Co’s “Hawaiian Island Sessions”

June 6, 2012No Comments

Here is the premiere video from the Paris Truck Co. homies. This new edit features Brian Peck and Matt Kienzle as they shred various spots all over the island Oahu, Hawaii. The vibe is right and the shredding is shreddy. Read below for a few thoughts from Mr. Brian Peck himself as he discusses the making of this video. Kick back and enjoy the ride:

“To call Hawaii “paradise” would not be an exaggeration—you don’t have to be a skateboarder to appreciate the lush vegetation, beautiful beaches, ample amounts of sunshine and flawless weather. It’s safe to say most people dream of visiting da islands at some point in their lives, and thanks to the bosses at Paris Truck Co, I got to live that dream!

The islands have a wonderful topography for downhill skating due to the volcanic activity that formed them. Runs vary from slower, urban roads with sidewalks and driveways galore, to faster jungle bombs with the sun peeking in and out of the canopy overhead. All are enjoyably twisty and smooth with butter pavement rarely worn by the elements. The skateparks are flowy, ditches and spillways seem to exist around every corner. And there’s always a postcard-esque beach or cliff jumping spot nearby when the skating starts to wear you out.
This trip to Oahu was my first time visiting any of the Hawaiian Islands. Matt K and I linked up for two solid weeks with no responsibilities other than to skate with and film each other as much as much as possible. We like to ride a little bit of everything and we’re stoked we get to share our adventures with you all. Big thanks to Paris and all the local shredders for helping to make it happen. I know I’ll be back. Shoots!”   (Brian Peck)
